Happy 2005 from The Ninth Chevron!!
More work has been done to bring this site together, though completion is still a long way off. Progress is quick, but given the magnitude of the information that T9C will be offering to Stargate fans, it takes a considerable amount of time to compile. Two features to the left on the sidebar have been activated - under "This Week On TV," a complete list of all episodes showing on the Sci-Fi channel this week are listed along with links to that specific episode's information page. In the future, we hope to include the episodes airing in syndication on the FOX Network, but as network TV differs from city to city in its programming, this feature is currently unavailable.
In addition to the Stargate TV schedule, the public poll is up and running with its first question, "Who is your favorite SG-1 Character?" A simple question, but you have to start somewhere. Please feel free to vote and participate!

The Ninth Chevron is beginning to take shape! As this site is in its early stages, emphasis will be put on the guidebook and multimedia, including screenshots, video clips, wallpaper, episode and character guides, and much more. However, The Ninth Chevron needs help! If you love Stargate in any of its forms and would like to help by writing synopses, finding or creating multimedia, or anything else, please
email us and we will try to set something up. Thanks and stay tuned to T9C!

Amanda Tapping has confirmed on her own
official site that she will be returning as Col. Samantha Carter for the ninth season run of
Stargate: SG-1. Tapping, who is currently pregnant and due in mid-March, was previously unconfirmed as returning, but she has now assured fans,
"I am slated to do 15 of the 20 episodes. I will return to the show in May." She says she is excited about her baby.
"I will [be] bringing the baby with me," though she adds, jokingly,
"not through the gate of course."

In an email interview with
The Chicago Tribune, SG-1 executive producer Brad Wright has clued Stargate fans in on Ben Browder's character and the changes to the show that will be happening in its ninth season.
Although the name of Browder's character is still a mystery (it has yet to be cleared legally), it has been revealed that he will be playing a military man who has been an important part of the Stargate program in the past.
"Specifically, he's the F-302 pilot [...] that led the squadron that fought Anubis in Antarctica. He was badly injured when his fighter crashed, nearly killed but [...] was promised a place on SG-1 if he made it back to fighting form." Neither Browder nor his character have appeared in the series before, but his role at the SGC will be fleshed out through flashbacks.
When asked about other characters and their involvement in the future of SG-1, Wright showed that much was still up in the air. Star and executive producer Richard Dean Anderson has long been rumored as having a reduced role in season nine, though nothing is certain yet. Wright remarks,
"I handed over the reins of the SG-1 to Robert [C. Cooper] in season seven because I needed a rest and wanted to spend more time with my family. That's all Rick wants to do, and I don't blame him. I came back. The door is open for Rick to do the same." He also added that,
"O'Neill will continue to be a part of the SG-1 universe. Whether we actually SEE him is up to Rick, but the character will continue to exist on or off screen." He was similarly unable to give insight into the return of Don S. Davis (General Hammond).
In response to many complaints about the lack of off-world episodes in the last two seasons, Wright defended the creative team behind SG-1, saying,
"Off-world stories require visual effects, matte paintings, otherworldly sets, remote locations, costumes, props and set that all has to be constructed to our standards. I know that fans hate that answer but that's the way it is. It is NOT our inability to come up with stories that take place on other planets." However, he did confirm that season nine will feature a new adversary for SG-1.
